3D Spatial Drawing in VR and Trail-Tracking
Sped-up walkthrough with narration (3 mins)
I also did part 2 of the project, where instead of using a hand controller to create meshes, I made it so that a mesh is generated after the movement of robots. The idea is that when a robot moves, it leaves a trail behind, and we can inspect that trail to debug and log the robot's locomotion. By analyzing the trail mesh, we can find out if the robot is moving erratically or acting in unexpected ways. Here is a follow-up video that shows it in action:

Application Name: 3D Spatial Drawing in VR and Trail-Tracking
Technology: Unity Engine, C#
Role: Solo project
Art assets: Art assets sourced from freely available or appropriately licensed third-party resources
Overview:
This is a spatial creativity and annotation tool in Virtual Reality. It allows users to create 3D drawings that persist as 3D meshes. It provides 6 degrees of freedom and the user can move around their drawings and inspect them from any direction. It features a controller-mounted palette UI allowing users to dynamically adjust brush geometry, stroke thickness, and color. The drawings will persist as floating meshes in physical space, and the user can reset the drawings using the palette at hand.
